"Got Junk? We want it!"

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while since we last posted, but that's because we've been busy with something really exciting! We're having a fundraiser this Saturday, May 28th at 755 Campbell Greenfield Park. We are collecting everyone "JUNK" (we like to call them unwanted treasures!), so we can have a yard sale to raise funds for our furry friends in need! So far we've received some amazing stuff! We're also going to spread the world about animal welfare to those who attend the sale! We hope by educating these individuals, there will be a greater circle of people working towards the same goal, saving animals.

P.S Both Toby and Basil have been adopted this week, and Princessa has a pending adoption as well!

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE, paisley (now Lucie) has been adopted!! She has a young boy to play with as well as a brother (cat) and a sister (dog). She is going to be spoiled in her new home I'm sure. I am so happy for her! But now her brother needs a HOME! Update on the Kittens!

Hi everyone!

The kittens we rescued from under a balcony last week are doing great! They have a huge appetite which is good indicator that they aren't too stressed. Toby, who we caught first, was less shy and fearful than his sister Paisley. However, in the last few days Paisley has been making huge improvements. She has come a long way from the timid kitten who once hissed at everyone. Today she came right up to me and sat on my lap, she even let me rub her belly! I am so glad she is finally opening up, not only to me but to strangers. Our neighboours came by for a visit yesterday, and she and Tobby were loving all the attention. Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our site! We're really excited to start getting the word out about our rescue. We are two young women (cousins in fact!) who have a passion for animals. We were both working with several rescues before we decided to form our own rescue. We both have rescue dogs of our own, and our immediate family has eight dogs (and we're only 10 people). Hence, we are big animal lovers! We are just starting out, and are hoping to find fosters, since our own homes are overrun by animals. Fosters would be responsible for the care of the animal before they are adopted. We plan on fully vetting and sterilizing each animal before adoption. As fosters all you would need to pay for is food, since the rescue will be paying for the rest! Our rescue is already off to a start; we have one pit bull Basil and two 6 week old kittens looking for homes.
